Engaged on Valentine’s? Here are some tips for planning your special day
Did you get engaged for Valentine’s or maybe even Christmas? Congratulations! If you haven’t already, there are a few things you need to start thinking about almost immediately.
Did you know that most bridal couples start booking their vendors 12 to 18 months in advance, at least? Don’t miss out on the wedding of your dreams by waiting too long to secure important services.
Venue
The venue should be one of the first vendors you secure; if not the first because the venue could likely effect which day you can get married! It’s best to have several dates in mind when contacting venues in case your top choice is not available.
Getting your venue secured will help with many of your other decisions, including catering and guest list, because the venue will have certain requirements you must follow for your vendors and only so much space for guests.
At Piguet’s Prime Time, we offer the restaurant area and the grounds that can be filled with tents, tables, and chairs for your special day. We can convert our property into a beautiful location for you and your beloved to say “I do.”
Catering
You will need to find a caterer who is not only affordable, but who can manage your wedding guests’ needs including gluten intolerance, alpha-gal syndrome, and other food allergies/sensitivities. Develop a basic menu with clear deadlines for when the caterer needs final numbers and accommodations.
Also find out if they can make your desired cake or if this will be a separate vendor to hire. The same is true with bar service, if you want this as part of your wedding.
At Piguet’s Prime Time, we can do simple appetizers or a fully plated meal (and everything in between). We can coordinate on your cake and we offer bar service, including custom cocktails for your event.
