Anyone who has met our founder, Carolyn Piguet, knows she loves people, food, and education. It won’t take anyone long, however, to realize just how much she also loves the agricultural industry in general.
In fact, we lovingly call her the Ag Ambassador! We host a variety of different business, civic, and school-related groups every year. We are highlighting a handful of some of our biggest Ag partners that we work with and that Carolyn supports through training, teaching, and other forms of volunteering.
Oklahoma Cattlemen’s Association
The Cattlemen’s Association’s primary focus continues to be representing the “interests of Oklahoma’s cattlemen at the Oklahoma Legislature. The OCA has continued an aggressive course of action supporting proactive legislation and challenging anti-industry legislation and regulations.”
We’ve participated with this organization and member county organizations for several years either through catering their events or participating in their meetings.
National FFA Organization
FFA is a student organization for high school-aged students interested in agriculture and leadership. The organization’s mission: “FFA makes a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.”
We support this organization both at the state level and catering for at least nine recent chapter banquets. FFA is a long-time fixture in Carolyn’s life and she will spend time this summer helping with their leadership training retreat.
4-H
4-H is offered through county extension offices throughout the state and country. More than six million students are involved nationwide! Of that, Carolyn’s Prime 4-H Club boasts about 60 members. We’ve also hosted several clubs and other leadership events at the restaurant.
Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food, and Forestry
“The Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food and Forestry exists to protect, promote and regulate the agricultural resources of the state of Oklahoma.”
ODAFF and Carolyn have a long history of having a positive working relationship both with her efforts in the food industry and events at the restaurant.
These are just four organizations that we love working with to help raise awareness and advocacy for the agriculture industry. That said, we love hosting a variety of events and special occasions at Piguet’s Prime Time!
