Each month, we have dozens of groups vist our restaurant or use our catering services. Each group is special, whether it’s a civic group hosting a gathering of members or a nonprofit raising money and awareness for a cause.
Recently,we worked with two different nonprofit fundraisers that support causes we want to bring to your attention.
Chicks N Chaps
The Chicks n Chaps fundraiser is a national organization that raises money for local patients with cancer. The approximately $7,000 that was raised will go to help Vinita-area patients and we love that! The financial assistance helps with costs that aren’t covered by insurance or other means.
This event hosted about 100 people at our restaurant.
This cause is close to Carolyn’s heart because her sister is a cancer survivor. Because her husband died of a terminal illness, she also understands how stressful trying to pay for all the expenses can be. She also loves that this specific organization helps the local community wherever their events are held.
Education Foundation dinner
We’ve catered for several local education foundation dinners but our most recent was the Oklahoma Union Education Foundation. The 270-member crowd was too big for our restaurant, so we were happy to take the food off-site! We know that the scholarship funding these organizations raises helps students and anyone who knows Carolyn knows that education is very close to her heart. We were also honored to learn that once word got out that we were catering the dinner, the ticket sales drastically increased!
