Two long-time, family-owned businesses will bring the finest in local prime rib and California wine during Piguet Prime Time’s next Steak Under the Stars.
“Steak Under the Stars Dinner with Zialena Wines & Prime Rib” will be 7 p.m., Friday, June 24, at Piguet’s Prime Time. Tickets are available online for $75 and seats are going fast so we suggest that you don’t delay!
Zialena Winery is our source for locally made wine that is of the highest quality. Proving that farm-to-table is not a new concept or trend, the Mazzoni family has been growing and making their own wine for four generations. Zialena is owned by 4th generation siblings Mark and Lisa
Mazzoni. They are the only winery in the country that grows 100 percent of their own grapes onsite. And Piguet Prime Time is their only restaurant client outside of Sonoma County.
To say we feel honored to partner with Zialena is an understatement.
The evening of course features prime rib from our family farm. The Piguet’s have more than a hundred years of farming and our farm is the primary source for all the beef we serve in our restaurant.
Who is Zialena Winery?
We wanted to introduce you to the people behind the winery and their story. Mark is the winemaker and vineyard manager, and Lisa runs the business. Their Great
Grandfather, Giuseppe Mazzoni, moved to Sonoma County to be part of the Italian Swiss
colony in 1897. The Italian Swiss colony was a winery and vineyards started by the owners of the Bank of Italy in the 1860’s, Bank of Italy was later renamed Bank of America.
The winery specializes in estate-grown wines from their 120 acres in Alexander Valley in Sonoma County, California. The winery’s name comes from Zia Lena, which is Aunt Lena in Italian. The winery is named for Lena, who was Mark and Lisa’s great aunt. She was born in Italy in 1897. That’s when, at two months old, Lena’s father, Giuseppe, left Italy and moved to Sonoma County to be part of the Italian Swiss colony.
Four generations later, the family business continues to thrive. They produce around 3,500 cases of wine that are all from the vineyard they own.
We hope you will join us for this night of amazing food, three flights of exquisite wine, and delightful local musicians! BUY YOUR TICKETS HERE! EVENTBRITE ticket sales.
